My month in review. Let’s see how I did!

  3. Down Among the Sticks and Bones
  4. In An Absent Dream
  5. Girls of Paper and Fire
  6. No Exit
  7. Here and Now and Then
  8. Marty’s Horrible, Terrible, Very Bad Day
  9. Fifth Risk

Challenges

Still on track to meet my 100 books reading goal! And I’ve read two books for the Creativity Challenge and one for the What’s In A Name Challenge, so think I’m doing well on both of those.

Need to get started on the Mt TBR Challenge as I haven’t even started that one. Also need to work on my NetGalley score and stop requesting new titles until I can nudge it up a bit.

Around the Blogosphere

How was your February? Cold, dismal, and depressing? That Polar Vortex was crazy! We swung wildly between summer and winter temps down here, so am shocked that none of us got sick (knock wood). Anne over at Modern Mrs Darcy posted her annual What’s Saving My Life Right Now to help us survive winter. Lots of great ideas, and I love reading the comments!

Did you read the story about Dan Mallory, the author of The Woman in the Window? Sounds like the Talented Mr Ripley! The New Yorker did a great piece laying out all the details. Truth really is stranger than fiction!

Came across this post with 14 Stunning Illustrations That Perfectly Capture The Introvert’s Love Of Books. I’ve never heard of artist Debbie Tung before but as a fellow introvert, she captures our book loving life really well. And now I want to buy her books!

Huge plagiarism scandal in the Romance World. It’s dirty. It’s messy. The plagiarist’s behavior is borderline unbelievable. But the good news is that Nora Roberts is an Avenging Goddess! If you haven’t already, take a look at her recent Plagiarism Then and Now post!

Overall

While I didn’t post as often as I wanted to this month, it’s MUCH better than last year! So I’ve got that going for me….

I still haven’t moved my blog to self-hosted, despite buying my domain names. Frankly, I’m afraid that I might accidentally lose everything. I know, I know, it’s a totally unfounded fear but I’m still nervous. Need to just jump into the deep end of the pool and do it!

Started off strong with my blogging classes, but got distracted by other classes. Need to get back on track in this area as well. Trying to come up with a schedule I can stick to, so if anyone has any examples or suggestions, I’m all ears! Honestly, the vague plan I have now simply isn’t working. I’ve got my pretty planner, just need to find a plan.

Thinking about doing the Blog Ahead Challenge next month, hosted over at Herding Cats & Burning Soup. This one is a little different than her usual challenge as you can pick how many weeks you’re going to participate. Maybe I’ll start with one week and see how it goes? Anyone else joining? Maybe we can cheer each other on?

Here’s to an awesome March!
